Chapter 2: Pull at the Threads - Karoh Un Fento

The electronic bell sounded in the diplomatic ward to signify that it was now Beta Shift. Normally, Ensign Weirer would be in-charge in the Ward. Now, due to her absense, it would be Warrant Officer Hadi's responsibility for this shift. Pahren listened as the large door to the Ward opened. It was Mr. Hadi. The tall man walked to the back of the Ward and entered Pahren's office. He began to speak in his thick German accent.
"Warrant Officer 3rd Class Samuel Hadi, reporting Ambassador."
Pahren nodded at the man. "At ease. Normally Krista just keeps an eye on things here. I have a few reports that I was working on. They are mostly pre-requisites for the Undarians to join the Federation and such. I will be in the Linguistics Lab for this shift if you need me." Pahren exited his office and walked a few steps. Then, he turned to face Hadi. "Oh, and feel free to use my office." With that, Pahren exited the Ward and proceeded to the Linguistics Lab.
Location: Linguistics Lab
Pahren entered the small Ling. Lab. He logged himself into the terminal. "Computer. Pull up all known information about Undarian Language."
The Computer responded. "All Linguistic Information on the Undarian Species is now displayed on the Main Terminal."
Tarnek took a seat and looked at the large screen at the head of the room. "Standard Linguistics Sequence 1 in Undarian Standard."
The computer began speaking as a parallel text of Undarian/Standard appeared on the viewscreen.
"Karoh Un Fento, Dias halbod en sequa del entri esta camot. Delecia condice del sequa Undar...."
The computer continued in the Language.
After about five minutes Pahren addressed the computer again. "Pause. Display all current words in a Parallel Undarian and Standard Lexicon."
Pahren looked at the words. They were familiar. Like he already knew this language. "Computer, show Pandarian translation as a third text. He was right. This is something he had seen before. Pahren Tapped his communicator. "Commodore, can I see you in your readyroom?"
